Operatives for the Democratic Party in New Jersey have been arrested and charged with election fraud linked to mail-in ballots.
Political commentator Collin Rugg confirmed the news in a post on X, adding that four individuals were charged by prosecutors for the Garden State. Alex Mendez, the president of the Paterson City Council, was indicted for alleged crimes committed during the 2020 election. His wife and two others were also charged for their involvement in the scheme.
“The defendants are accused of attempting to rig an election in their favor and to deprive the voters of Paterson of having their voices heard,” said New Jersey Attorney General (AG) Matt Platkin. “The functioning of democracy relies on voters’ trust that their votes count, and those votes determine the outcomes of elections.”
According to Platkin, Mendez was seen emptying a “large, heavy bag, completely filled with ballots” into a mailbox. He also alleged that the Paterson city council president allegedly supervised an operation that stole mail-in ballots from mailboxes and replaced the ones that were not for him. Mendez was able to carry out the alleged fraud because all ballots were mail-in, thanks to the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Meanwhile, Just the News reported that Mendez is facing additional charges related to the 2020 election after having earlier been charged in June 2020 and February 2021, per comments stated by Platkin’s office on Oct. 25.
Before the May 2020 election, wherein Mendez was running for city council, he allegedly gathered numerous mail-in ballots from households over many days in violation of state law, as stated by the AG’s office. While New Jersey law permits a “bearer” to return a completed ballot for a voter, candidates in elections are not permitted to collect and return ballots for the voters in the district of the race they are running in.
Moreover, Mendez’s campaign allegedly compiled ballots that were not sealed by voters and examined them at the campaign headquarters to see if they were cast for Mendez. Ballots that were not cast for Mendez were purportedly destroyed and replaced with a ballot for him. The replacement ballots were reportedly stolen from voters’ mailboxes. If voters handed over incomplete ballots, campaign workers for Mendez would complete them.
Platkin’s office reported that about a week before the May 2020 election, Mendez observed someone empty a huge bag filled with ballots into a mailbox in the neighboring municipality of Haledon. Almost a week later, Mendez’s campaign attorney sent a letter to the Passaic County Board of Elections to ask them to count the ballots from Haledon, despite purportedly knowing that they had been illegally acquired and submitted to the county.
Americans have already witnessed this scenario develop in different forms in recent years, especially since mail-in ballots have been used to their advantage by the administration. (Related: Mail-in ballots need to GO if American elections will ever again have integrity.)
The mainstream media and the uniparty federal government have many times guaranteed the American people that elections are “fair and free” while rejecting any idea or murmur of election fraud. They declare that even if such fraud happens, it is so unimportant that it couldn’t probably affect a national election.
Nevertheless, it is clear that a large part of the American population isn’t buying what the administration is peddling with several polls showing a majority of Americans believe there was some form of cheating that affected the outcome of the 2020 election. With time bringing more clarity, Americans are seeing a rising number of fraud cases appearing across the nation.
In one case, a judge in Connecticut has ordered a new Democrat primary for a mayoral race, flashing yet another limelight on “ballot stuffing.”
